I wanted to make my grandson Isaac a tshirt quilt from his old tee’s. But truth is they were not in the best shape. My thoughts were why would you use beautiful new fabric and those funky old tee shirts. So, I purchased new fabric bought the screen designs and had them put on the pre cut fabrics with the fusible interfacing already ironed on them. NICE says it ALL!
Here is one of the squares made from the white medium weight Jersey fabric I bought from Joann’s Fabric. Here you can see several they are so fresh, crisp, and clean. They also iron extremely well to the fusable pelon. The completed quilt was the easiest one I have ever had quilted it literally came out perfect according to my quilting friend Mary Kay of Allendale. (she had alot to do with that as she is awesome) For the backing I ended up using a black flat fitted queen size sheet. You can see it on display here in the background of the Graduation party decorations. This is my amazing Grandson Isaac Alarcon. He will be playing football for Graceland University. They are blessed for sure to have him. Not only a great athlete but an awesome young man of integrity and compassion.
