Mission Possible

This is the most amazing thrift store ever to be found and I get to live 10 miles from it. Blessed I am!

I bought the pants and 2 yards of light weight linen fabric there. Came home and sewed up this skirt and blouse. All for 25 cents. That’s right the whole outfit 25 cents.

I have taken this outfit traveling because it always looks nice right from the dryer.
The linen is so light weight I had to line the panel inserted to make the pants a skirt.
Scoop neck no buttons and no zipper.
Gotta have them pockets. Just right size not to big not to small. Thank you for stopping by!

TShirt Quilt (not really)

I wanted to make my grandson Isaac a tshirt quilt from his old tee’s. But truth is they were not in the best shape. My thoughts were why would you use beautiful new fabric and those funky old tee shirts. So, I purchased new fabric bought the screen designs and had them put on the pre cut fabrics with the fusible interfacing already ironed on them. NICE says it ALL!

Here is one of the squares made from the white medium weight Jersey fabric I bought from Joann’s Fabric.
Here you can see several they are so fresh, crisp, and clean. They also iron extremely well to the fusable pelon.
The completed quilt was the easiest one I have ever had quilted it literally came out perfect according to my quilting friend Mary Kay of Allendale. (she had alot to do with that as she is awesome) For the backing I ended up using a black flat fitted queen size sheet.
You can see it on display here in the background of the Graduation party decorations.
This is my amazing Grandson Isaac Alarcon. He will be playing football for Graceland University. They are blessed for sure to have him. Not only a great athlete but an awesome young man of integrity and compassion.

Khloe’s New Dress

So simple, yet so Sweet!
Here is the pattern I used, got it for 10 cents at our local thrift store, MISSION POSSIBLE.
Fabric was Walmart’s Easter selection.
“I love it”
She wanted pockets! Not included in pattern but were not difficult to add.

My Grand Daughter Khole has been with me almost 3 weeks. We went to Bible School at Ravenwood Christian Church last week. We have played in the river went to the pool, had cook outside at the farm with Uncle Paul and Aunt Sissy. We went to an outdoor concert that had a pool and water slide, she loved that.

I did it!

Fathers Day was totally amazing. My husband wanted a project done. He wanted electrical to his garage. We all pitched in and got it done along with good food and games.

I decided Saturday to get the carpets up in our mud room. Alot of scraping but it is getting closer to being done.

Summers as us a flying by the garden is growing and we are eating salad, peas, onions and beets. The strawberries have been amazing too.

Lots of Blessings praying to live life more Grateful!
